I have been using Photoshop myself for some time now, well years actually, probably from shortly after it was first published but I am still learning more and more about the program and what can be done with it. If I had 10 lifetimes I probably still wouldn’t learn all that it is capable of as such a large team of very talented people have worked on developing the software over the years.
The great thing about Photoshop and many other softwares on the market now is that there are many people who can train and education people in their use. I have often thought about putting some kind of course together myself but have never had the time and I would probably approach the training from a graphic design perspective. Not everyone who uses Photoshop is a graphic designer however so my training and the training of others might not always be the best fit for those in other professions who want to use it. Photographers for example. Fortunately for photographers though, others have been able to do so.
I want to share with you a great little course I came across recently. It has been put together by Matt Brading. The course is one that has made a complicated program less intimidating for photographers or other people who normally don’t want to spend to much time learning a program. Photographers, like many other users of Photoshop, just want to get it to do what they want and then move on.
Here is what someone said about it:
Not convinced that it is what you want or need? I would suggest visit this link: Photoshop For Photographers
Here are some of the things the course covers:
You can see from that list, that this is a super-practical course. It’s not a collection of special effects and weird tricks you’ll never use. It’s not a long-winded theoretical lecture. Instead, it’s a series of short concise demonstrations that you can follow along with while you watch, to master the exact tasks you need to make your photos buyer-ready. Most of the Photoshop tutorials are about 4-5 minutes, so even if you watch it once, then do it yourself with the video running, you can MASTER the process for life in 10 minutes or less!
On the homepage for Photoshop for Photographers you can interact with the list above and see what each module in the volume actually contains so I would recommend clicking and heading over there to find out more info.
